ENGLISH CONVERSATION GROUPS COME TO AN END FOR THIS YEAR - BUT MINISTRY NEVER CEASES

At the end of May and the beginning of June, we ended our English conversation groups: We had an adult group in Liberec, two groups in Chrastava (adult and youth) and two groups in Turnov (teachers and youth). It was a pleasure serving the churches in these outreaches, allowing Christians and non-Christians to share their lives and develop relationships with each other.

In June we also had the privilege to attend two important gatherings of pastors and leaders: Synod and an annual Retreat. It is wonderful to see how the Church is growing and reaching out to their communities. We are so grateful to be a part of what is happening in Czech. Thank you to everyone who supports us and allows us to continue to serve here.

Liberec adult English conversation group ended with a hamburger BBQ and homemade goodies and vegetables. Ken BBQ'd on the balcony of the new ministry center where we held our meetings each week.

We celebrated with the Chrastava Youth in our home with homemade hamburgers.

The Chrastava adult English group surprised us with hamburgers from McDonald's for our end of the year party.

The Last Day of class in Turnov, the students gave us a present. But first we had to guess what it was.

Teachers from Turnov and their families, as well as students, attended the end of the year BBQ in Turnov.

HANGING WITH THE PASTORS AND LEADERS

Ken and Linda had the privilege of attending two important gatherings of the Jednota Bratrska pastors and leaders. The first was the Synod - the business meeting of the pastors held in Liberec on June 5, 2010. And the second was a pastors and leaders with their wives (and young children) conference held June 13-16th in a lovely country setting. This was a fun time of sharing our lives, building relationships, praying together, and learning. We also filled our calendar with requests for our ministry for the rest of this and next year.

It's never too early to encourage the next generation!
